Welcome to Healing after Loss Coaching! I am so happy that you have taken the first step in reaching out for help!

Are you ready for a breakthrough in your life? You came to the right place!

My name is Sandra Frost. I am a mother, grandmother, former high school nurse/Spanish teacher, licensed real estate agent, and most recently a certified grief coach. I am certified as a specialist through the *Grief Recovery Method Institute (see below). Currently, I am the Administrator of a private Facebook group called, Healing after Loss - a Christian Grief Group. We currently have over 1200 members from around the world who have suffered a major loss in their lives, whether through the death of a loved one, a broken relationship, pet loss, or other painful losses.

I began this grief recovery support group three years ago, after the sudden accidental death of my oldest son, Jason. After his death, I quickly realized that I knew very little about how to deal with my personal pain after a devastating loss. Naturally, I leaned on my faith, family, and friends, however, I knew that I needed more in terms of processing my pain and learning how to move forward.

It was through learning how to manage my own grief, that I realized that I was ‘called’ to a greater purpose than any of my former jobs. That purpose and ‘calling’ has led me here: To help others who are suffering in their grief, often silently and alone.

Coaching is different from counseling. Coaches begin with where you are right now and offer to be a ‘heart with ears’. Coaches listen. We are a sounding board and offer you assisted guidance in achieving your goals of total wellness and health. Coaches help you find ways to move forward toward your personal goals. Grief coaches discuss with you what may help, based on our own personal experiences. Coaches encourage self-discovery. Because of my certification as a grief specialist, I am authorized to also lead you through the steps of the Grief Recovery Method Program.  A coach is not a licensed therapist and does not diagnose conditions of any kind, nor attempt to analyze your past. A grief coach is a guide, a helpmate, a cheerleader, who helps you complete your own goals through encouragement, guidance, and confidential attention. Coaches are good conversation starters and even better listeners!
